Sara went the “extra mile” to ensure my mother was okay during her recent stay at Rex. My mother had surgery on a Friday and appeared fine immediately after surgery. This all changed Saturday morning. My mother had become less responsive, and Sara jumped into action alerting team members throughout the day of her status and requesting their presence for reassessments. Sara requested the team to reevaluate again when my mother’s condition continued to deteriorate. Sara pushed for a CT scan (which later was followed by an MRI and neuro consult). Sara informed me of my mother’s status and interventions and continued to update me at intervals over the weekend. Sara demonstrated caring and compassion that was appreciated. I was also impressed with her gut instincts and knowledge. I honestly believe Sara’s care made a huge difference in my mother’s outcome. I am so thankful for Sara and cannot adequately express my gratitude.
