With her own money, Sara helps create NICU bereavement mementos for families who have recently lost their child.
Sara is an amazing nurse in our unit. She serves as a preceptor, leader, and knowledgeable coworker whom everyone can rely on. In her personal time, she creates mini booklets of NICU policies and procedures for her orienteers. These booklets allow for all new coworkers to have a resource of NICU knowledge with them at all times.
With her own money, Sara helps create NICU bereavement mementos for families who have recently lost their child. She works hard to go above and beyond in our unit in so many ways. She hasn’t had a break from precepting for years because she continually pours into our new coworkers on our unit. I have been a preceptor nurse myself and have worked in the NICU for several years. I have never met anyone as dedicated and as incredible as a nurse like Sara. I hope we all can continue to learn from her.
