Sara was my nurse after surgery. There were so many things that Sara did during my stay that demonstrate what an excellent nurse she is.
First and foremost, Sara smiled with every interaction. This reassured me that she was willing to help with anything, no questions asked.
She kept on top of my pain, always ensured I was comfortable and even made sure my blanket from home was in place each time she cared for me.
Sara is a perfect role model for the new orientee she had with her. I witnessed her demonstrating patience while she took the time to educate her peer. During shift report, the nurses were talking about how vital coffee is to keep things moving along. I heartily agreed. Shortly after the nurses left the room, here came Sara with a freshly brewed cup of coffee for me. What a pleasant surprise!
On her last shift before my expected discharge, Sara made sure to say goodbye and wish me well. We had such a great rapport, this simple gesture made me feel so blessed to have received such great care.
Often times it's the little things that matter. Sara truly knows how to make a difference through compassionate care. She truly is a DAISY Nurse.
