On September 20at approximately 3:00 AM my husband was admitted to the 4 West unit of Doctors Medical Center. He was not in pain and was being admitted for an abscess in the chest. No big deal. Everything was going smooth. All of a sudden his breathing was going from bad to worse in a matter of minutes. Before I knew it Rapid Response was there, then he was a "Code Blue" and being put on a ventilator. This all happened so fast I did not know what the heck was going on. All I heard was "your husband is very sick and we have to put him on a ventilator." I was of course very upset and crying. What is going on? I was very confused and upset with no answers. Sara came to me and told me everything that I needed to know. She was kind and very caring when I needed it.
