Sara Cianciarulo was trying to keep us in good spirits and had learned that we had Golden Retrievers, our fur babies. So every day, she would share pictures of hers, and I would share pictures of mine.
Unbeknown to me, Sara had called my house and arranged for my dearest dog to come to visit me, and got a mean old man to cry with joy that someone would do that for me! This is truly connecting with a patient and seeing what you can do to pick up their spirit. I will forever remember that day and what Miss Sara did to help me smile and get through all of this.
