We had a patient deliver a baby with anencephaly. The patient had no resources to care for the baby because she thought the baby would pass away shortly after birth. Sara took care of the patient the day she and the baby were discharged. Sara asked her husband to go buy some diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, and onesies for the baby so they would have some supplies for the baby to go home with. Sara's husband asked no questions and went to the store to buy what Sara asked him to buy. Within an hour, her husband and little boys were up here dropping off the goods. The patient was very appreciative of Sara's kind gesture and compassionate heart. Sara always takes great care of her patients, but she most definitely went above and beyond for this patient and her terminal child. She delivered a Christmas miracle to this family as they were discharged on Christmas Eve.
