Sara was nominated for the DAISY Award by one of her patients who wrote:
Having surgery that you don’t want in the first place is a scary thing. Being in the hospital is a scary thing, but the staff of 6 South made my hospital stay as pleasant as possible. I was treated with kindness and compassion. Whether she was helping me to get out of bed and walk or was bringing me a warm blanket, I felt cared for. Not only that, you all cared for my family as well, which means a great deal to me. Thank you for everything that you did for me. I will never forget your faces and the care you provided.
