A patient experienced a stillbirth. The baby had been picked up by the funeral home before molds could be made. Sara called the funeral home and asked if she could come and get molds before the baby was cremated. She went on her day off and obtained hand and foot molds of the baby for the family. Because of her, this family has tangible memories of the baby they lost.
Other details: Sara went above and beyond to ensure this mother had mementos of her baby. What was not mentioned in the nomination was that Sara obtained all the mementos (molds, prints, etc) of this baby while in the cremation room at the crematorium.
