Sadly, my mother died whilst in hospital but the care she received was excellent and we wanted to highlight the outstanding care that Sara gave her. It was our family's sense that she was always ready to go above and beyond anything that we could reasonably expect of her when it came to providing my mother with care.
However busy she was, Sara always found time to help my mother and do whatever she could to keep her comfortable and out of pain. She was also uniformly kind and helpful to the family, notably my brother who spent a lot of time with my mother towards the end, and to my wife who was with her when she died.
We all felt Sara represented exactly the kind of devotion to care that should be exemplary for all nurses.
