Hello! I am a RN in PACU at Soin. I am reaching out because my dad was diagnosed with Covid-19 recently and spent some time on MedSurg 3. I just wanted to let you know that, although the circumstances were not ideal (having him sick enough to be inpatient), we could not have had a better experience with the staff. The amount of care and concern given to him truly went above and beyond anything I expected. The nurses kept in communication with me by updating me several times per day, offered to order him lunch with their takeout order, and were sure to explain everything thoroughly so that he understood what was going on. The entire staff was great, and I just wanted to give them a huge shoutout.
Specifically, I'd like to recognize Sara Dulaney. She is the definition of the mission, vision, and values of Kettering Health Network. She is truly one of the most selfless, empathetic people I have ever spoken with, and she gained the trust of an otherwise 'leery and anxious' man who does not spend a lot of time on his own health and wellbeing. She kept in contact with me and even offered her prayers for my dad and for my family. She is in the profession of nursing for all the right reasons, and it is so evident in the care she gives. We cannot say enough about her and/or thank her enough. We are so incredibly lucky the paramedics chose Soin and I am so extremely proud to be affiliated with and employed by this facility.
