On Tuesday I had to have surgery. Sara Barr got off her shift at 7 am, but she stayed with me until I was taken in for my surgery. She knew that I was alone and scared. The whole time she was right there encouraging me, reassuring me, and extending her compassionate manner to help me through everything. Last night I had a really hard time with the pain. Once again, Sara stayed with me and comforted me with her smile.
