I met Sara several years ago. What people say about first impressions is right. When it came time for my appointment, out to the hallway came this perky little nurse with a name tag on. She smiled and said, “Hi, I’m Sara.” For the many years that I have known her, the smile has never left her face. In all of the things you hear that a nurse should be, Sara is all of them. I know how busy Sara is but when I’m there, I am her only patient. When trying to schedule surgery and pre-op so that insurance wouldn’t cancel it, Sara went way above and beyond to get it done. I’ve heard my wife talk about the DAISY Award and Sara is far and away a DAISY Nurse. I can’t count on one hand how many time she has gone above to help me. There is doing your job and then there is doing your job like Sara does. The extra calls she made and the pulling of strings to get an appointment for me at the time that I needed. I have heard the doctor say that this office runs as well as it does because of Sara. She deserves a DAISY Award.
