Sara Hartke, MSN, RN, OCN

As a younger woman, going in for a biopsy was something I thought I had more time to wait to have to do until I didn’t. Before even being seen, Sara took my phone calls twice to answer all of my questions, and make me feel more at ease. When I got to my appointment, she was the one who greeted me in the waiting room, and she didn’t leave my side once. She was so patient and warm and explained everything as it was happening, and held my hand. She even rubbed my back while my procedure was being done when it was becoming overwhelming for me. She went above and beyond to make me feel safe and optimistic about my treatment. I cannot thank her enough for making one of the scariest days of my life, bearable, and she is the majority of the reason for that. I am recognizing her for her heart and compassion.
