Sara was with us almost every day in our home of the first few months of our daughter's life. Our daughter was born with a congenital condition with an average life expectancy of only a few days. Sara tirelessly answered any question we had, would stay as long as we needed her to, and saw and enjoyed the strength of our daughter despite her diagnosis. She saw our daughter as a person. The care she gave was excellent in its medical knowledge, and firmly tender. She came week after week when our daughter was doing well and helped connect us to other resources we weren't aware of through the hospital. She rejoiced with us when our daughter began to thrive, and grow. And when our daughter died suddenly and unexpectedly, Sara was there to help us sort through grief, and she came to our daughter's funeral. She continues to be a part of our life even in our grief. We are so blessed to have Sara be a part of our daughter's journey; she is truly an excellent nurse and a loyal, compassionate, wise woman.
