Sara Kittle, RN

My mom was a patient on 1 South for just over a week. There were many times that you could tell the nurses were busy, overwhelmed, and just trying to finish their job to move on to the next patient. And then there was Sara K. She was personable, kind, smart, and just starting out. We were scared and frustrated about the outcome of my mom’s diagnosis, but Sara made sure to answer all of our questions and concerns with diligence and grace. She brought us blankets and pillows and, during every medication pass, would ask if WE needed anything as a family, something that isn’t always thought of. Sara explained that she was a newer nurse but if she hadn’t, our family would have never known. She was so intelligent and proud to be in the profession. I can’t say enough about her. Thank you, Sara, for being the calm in our storm.
