Professor Lopez strives on her students "aha" moments. She genuinely loves what she does. I remember feeling so nervous not knowing what to expect as an outcome for her class thinking I was going to struggle grasping the concepts. Professor Lopez went above and beyond to teach the material in a way that I could understand it. She always offered to meet before or after class to ensure success in the course. Her dedication to her students gave me confidence and motivation to tackle this course. Her mentorship and unwavering support has made this nursing journey very pleasant even under overwhelming circumstances. Professor Lopez always teaches through real world examples and her passion for patient care is truly admirable. I would trust my family under her care because she is all about advocating for her patients. She is a great Professor and nurse which is why I believe she deserves this award.
