Sara MacLellan, ADN, RN

Sara MacLellan is an excellent nurse. I can’t describe a scenario where Sara has demonstrated one of the I CARE principles because she always shows it when she works. As a nursing assistant, I’ve worked hand in hand with Sara; her compassion and advocacy for her patients are admirable. She’s nurturing not just the patients on her assignment but all on the unit. Sara is the type of nurse who would go above and beyond for the patients and staff. She truly is an excellent asset to 2 North. She’s so helpful. One night, we had two patients pull out their IVs because of confusion. Those patients weren’t in her care, but Sara volunteered to help and insert the IVs for those nurses. Her voice was soothing to the patients, and they let her do her job with no protest. Sara would never let a coworker drown; she’d be there with a life jacket. She wears many hats while on the job. It’s inspiring to me. 2 North is lucky to have her!
