Sara has truly grown at St. Francis from her early days as an LVN and a night shift nurse to become an instrumental leader, patient advocate, and Unit Council Chair. Sara inspires enthusiasm and engagement among the 2-East team, which has led to the successful reduction in HAPUs, consistent hourly rounding, and ongoing education on and adherence to policies and procedures. Sara is currently completing her BSN and recently attained her ACLS, PALS, and EKG competencies. She has crossed trained to Pediatrics and Skilled Nursing, and has been a secondary SuperUser during the CPOE transition.
