I am a 40-year-old paraplegic with major complex health problems. This was my 19th hospitalization in 12 months and 11 surgeries and almost constant hospital and nursing facilities since 2013 but the first time at St. Francis in many years.
Everyone has treated me great, however, Sara is above and beyond extra special. Aside from being efficient, professional, and highly skilled. I feel like I had an angel, friend, and sister. My first impression was this person has care and a love of nursing in her soul. I deal with a lot of pain and she stayed on top of it through getting my medicine timely even when she was in the middle of a major emergency with another patient and shift change. She still spent extra time. We shared our stories and I never felt judged. The last night I had her, we were both in tears and saying I love you and I could tell she didn't want to leave. With all of my years of suffering and medical experience, I know she is the BEST nurse of all.
