Her entire way of simply being embodies the qualities one wants and respects in a nurse. Sara takes care of everyone around her. She has this incredible knack of anticipating the needs of others and it makes her happy to be able to meet and exceed them…Sara’s patients are enveloped in a blanket of sincere kindness and gentleness. Her care oozes of a unique caring and compassionate nature. This compassionate nature of hers allows her to provide the most family focused care any patient and/or family member could hope for.
Sara has an amazing smile and sweet nature. She feels great being good to others. Her values and ethics are firmly grounded and her patients sense her warmth. Sara is also one of the highest achievers on 2 Clarke. She is skilled, knowledgeable, committed, and dedicated to excellence. I personally have learned to be a better nurse, person, and co-worker because of Sara’s influence. She leads by example. When I sit back and watch the way Sara helps her peers with tasks, problem-solving, etc. I strive to be the same way and help others as much as she does. If a physician on the floor needs help with something as slight as finding a chart, Sara will bend over backwards to find it. If a patient’s family member needs to talk, Sara will listen until she sees relief on that person’s face. If there is a problem on the floor from scheduling to staff conflict, Sara will gladly and with determination work to get the problem solved and in the end, everyone involved will be happy with the outcome.
She is a team player. Sara’s loyalty to her patients and the people who surround her make her a hero in my eyes. I can’t think of a soul who deserves the DAISY Award more than Sara. She is an incredible person and an amazing nurse.”
