Sara Severson Swenson, BSN RN OCN

Sara is an Extraordinary Nurse who is highly skilled and knowledgeable and also displays and promotes the highest ethical standards. She has demonstrated the true meaning of patient-centered care by going above and beyond to care for me as a patient battling leukemia. She's an advocate for me when I don't have family around. My family resides in Kenya, Africa. She has fostered an environment of respect, mutual trust, kindness, and compassion towards me as a patient whenever I am admitted to the hospital due to infection. Through her diligent work, she has demonstrated a good work ethic by taking the time to explain simple treatments and medications ordered by the provider. She has encouraged me to stay strong and fight through the difficulties of my disease. Despite the hopelessness, she brings joy and a smile to me as I maneuver through this difficult illness.
