I want to thank you, Sara, for helping save your patient's life. It isn't often that newer nurses on a med-surg unit get to see what they're made of, but you should be so proud of your dedication to patients' safety and quick assessment skills. By escalating your concerns to the Charge RN and getting Rapid team involved before your patient coded, you helped ensure he had the best chance at survival. Even after your patient's ICU transfer, you remained present for his wife who witnessed the event. Your kindness and compassion for the family in this vulnerable time make you a phenomenal nurse and human. I can tell that your heart is in the right place and that I thank you, ALWAYS, for living our mission to improve human life.
