My niece has various health problems and was admitted to the fourth floor for surgery for foot amputation. My niece can be difficult, demanding, and distrustful of health care/procedures. Sarah was patient and answered all questions. Sarah developed a trusting relationship. She demonstrated excellent active listening skills. Sarah was direct and professional. She was empathetic, but not codependent. Honest and direct about why the doctor's orders needed to be followed. If I had to be in the hospital, I would most definitely want Sarah to be my nurse.
