Sarah carried herself with a calm confidence that said she would do everything in her power to make the day okay, and my family could not be more grateful.
My family is made up of nurses, and we were incredibly impressed and grateful for the care my grandpa was given by every doctor, tech, and nurse who treated him during a very challenging, unexpected change in his condition. Sarah was a constant light while our family navigated my grandpa’s care plan. She was supportive, listened, and offered a very calming presence throughout very hard conversations. When I returned Monday morning, she knew exactly who I was and asked how my grandpa was doing. Specifically, she asked about his relationship with my grandma, whose name she even remembered. Little things like that often go unnoticed and unacknowledged in our day-to- day lives, but that quick conversation when I got there Monday morning was very centering. Sarah carried herself with a calm confidence that said she would do everything in her power to make the day okay, and my family could not be more grateful.
The entire team of those 48 hours was so deeply kind to my family. They were there during hard conversations and gave us the space to grieve when we needed it. They responded every time we had a question or concern, brought us food and coffee without prompting, and, best of all, checked on my grandpa like he was their grandpa.
Thank you to Sarah and the rest of the team for giving my family and me comfort this weekend.
