Sarah has taken it upon herself to bring extra joy and comfort to both patients and staff by being a key part of the self-made “Sunshine Committee”, which organizes initiatives like blanket drives to deliver blankets to patients on Christmas.
Sarah’s presence is always uplifting. She is bubbly, smiling, and warmly greets every patient, family member, and staff member from any department. She fosters a welcoming and supportive environment, always willing to assist, answer questions, and teach others. She has a keen awareness of when others are feeling down and takes the time to uplift and support them. Her contagious laugh brings joy to those around her, making even the most stressful days a little brighter.
Sarah has taken it upon herself to bring extra joy and comfort to both patients and staff by being a key part of the self-made “Sunshine Committee”, which organizes initiatives like blanket drives to deliver blankets to patients on Christmas. She also celebrates her colleagues by bringing gifts to staff when they have a baby, fall ill, or face difficult times.
Sarah also makes working on holidays special by dressing up for each occasion and even bringing fun accessories, such as headbands or custom-made t-shirts, to share with others. This not only brings joy to staff but also brightens the spirits of patients during what can be a difficult time for them.
Sarah also frequently picks up extra shifts, often stepping up as charge nurse so that others with a full patient load do not have to take on additional responsibilities. Even in her charge role, she still manages her full patient assignments and does so with grace; never complaining or showing signs of stress.
Sarah has a fantastic relationship with doctors, nurses, housekeeping, case management, dietary, PCTs and therapy. She works seamlessly with both night and day shift ensuring continuity of care.
Sarah embodies what it means to be a compassionate and selfless nurse, making a meaningful impact on everyone around her.
