Even though Sarah was my father’s nurse for one day, she was the RIGHT person on the RIGHT shift on the RIGHT day we needed her. She was efficient, capable, caring, and a “no-nonsense” nurse which is evident when you meet her. She is an amazing nurse who with a new admit that had a serious stroke in a beloved 92 1/2-year-old, gave us our first glimpse into Dayton’s Miami Valley Hospital’s excellence in critical care. An admit takes quite a bit of time and care, and Sarah did it with finesse and you could see that from the start. As she admitted our dad, she took the time to talk and educate us on what this health setback would mean for him; and that is what we needed to get the full picture of his health status. She came in often and worked diligently in all ways to make sure he was stable and that we were okay. It was a Sunday and we had been through a lot since 5:30 am but we were so fortunate she was our first nurse. She is an angel in disguise that we will never forget. Thank you so very much, Sarah.
