My father was in the care of Research Medical Center for all of June and July. Before his final discharge into hospice care, he had the luxury of being cared for by this nurse. She was so kind, compassionate, and gentle with my father, who was tired and irritable after being hospitalized for nearly two months. She always was so caring with him, and went above and beyond to always answer the family’s questions. My father’s ultimate wish was to go home to live out his final days with my mom and their sweet Goldendoodle. When I opened his discharge paperwork, there was a note from her that included a sweet message for my dad, telling him, “Snuggle that puppy for me.” That sweet note just highlighted how caring and attentive she was at talking to him and listening to his wants and needs. Research is so lucky to have her and her gentle spirit. My dad passed away a week ago, but my family still talks about his nurse and the amazing care she gave my dad. Thank you for being so awesome, Sarah!
