I was admitted for three days due to a leak of fluid in my Dura and had flat bed rest for three days. Sarah ended up being my nurse the second and third day, and was easily the highlight of my time there. She went out of her way for me. I have heard from other nurses that she does that with all her patients. Sarah took the time to understand everything that was going on with me, both with my injury and my life. She was proactive in everything she did, from checking how I was doing to making sure I had anything, such as cold water, to make my stay as easy as possible.

Sarah took the time to understand the reason I was in the hospital and listened to my warning signs, such as a headache or foot pain, and made sure that my surgeon and doctor were immediately aware of what was going on, which expedited my release. She was a joy to be around, extremely personable when there was time to talk, and was constantly putting a smile on my face. I know that without her being there, my stay on bed rest would have felt like a week, but instead flew by during the hours with her.
