I would like to nominate my preceptor for the DAISY Award because she exemplifies everything it means to be an extraordinary nurse. From the very first day, Sarah Fleagle has been an incredible teacher: patient, encouraging, and always willing to explain not just the "how" but also the "why" behind every step in patient care. She creates an environment where learning feels supported, and she instills confidence in those she mentors.

When I ask questions, she never makes me feel inadequate or embarrassed - she treats every question with respect and uses it as an opportunity to teach. Her compassion for patients is unmatched. No matter how busy she is, she always jumps up to help other patients who aren't even assigned to her. She never hesitates, never complains, and never asks for help herself - she just quietly goes above and beyond. She is the kindest soul, bringing comfort, reassurance, and dignity to every patient she encounters. Sarah is not only an amazing nurse but also an inspiring role model.
