Sarah was there from the moment my husband was put on the ventilator and offered amazing care to him as well as offered tremendous support to me. I was a wreck, as you can imagine, but Sarah took special time to console me and to teach me about the process and what to look for and expect. Soon the experience wasn't so frightening. She was caring and concerned about my children and offered support and help in any way we needed. We continued to have her as our nurse several times during my husband's 13-day stay in the ICU. I can say that this experience would not have been the same without Sarah by our side. She was amazing with my husband and cared for him with such concern and knowledge and it was so helpful for me to have her explain things to me that I didn't understand or had concerns about! She came up to be with me on a particularly hard night and she even came to the hospital on her day off to be with me and offer support as he was being transported to Cleveland Clinic. Sarah continued to be more than a nurse to us and continued to go above and beyond...even traveling to Cleveland to check on us! She was a true angel in a scary and difficult time.
