Sarah’s presence brought a sense of peace and assurance of healing
Sarah was very kind, open-hearted, calm, patient, and informative when it came to my care. Never once did I feel neglected in some way. In my case, I’ve always kept silent when it came to my wants and needs out of fear of being a burden to staff. Sarah made sure she was helping me to the best of her capabilities. Those capabilities were strong in communication, compassion, and understanding. I pray every department in every facility will have a member on their team such as her. Sarah’s presence brought a sense of peace and assurance of healing. Her calmness was extraordinary given the demanding atmosphere as it varies from patient to patient. She expressed high skills and talent beneficial to Banner Estrella and just care provided in general. She inspired me to go back to my roots and remember God has kept me alive for a reason. Well, my sentiments agree that she was brought to this field for that very purpose. To allow others to feel a sense of purpose, and peace and to heal. Thank you, Sarah, for understanding, how much or many times a person can be hospitalized in their lifetime and feel like a burden. You offered the simplest acts of showing me that I’m not a burden. That shower for the 1st time in three days was exactly what I needed to get the rest I was looking for. You offered to clean my linens and provide clean garments when I was asking another nurse for about two days of my stay. Being denied when approved by my doctor felt embarrassing and I felt as if I was a burden to this individual at the time. Your simple soft-spoken gestures and words were exactly what made my day.
