August 2021 Honoree
Sarah Hamilton 2021, RN, BSN
I came to the hospital because of my heart problems. Other than my health problems, I was lost in deep depression because I had lost my wife to cancer recently. Sarah was very polite and professional. From the moment I met her, she came in and checked on me all of the time. I told her about how I had thought about hurting myself. That day she stopped in my room every time she walked past to see if I was OK. That day after her shift she even came to my room to talk to me. She lifted that dark cloud from above my head by the care and talking she had given me. By the time her shift was over she had taken most of the pain and hurt out of my heart and mind. She saved my life and gave me the feeling to want to live and to keep going forward with my life. If it wasn’t for her I probably wouldn’t be sitting here writing this letter. She saved my life. God bless her. She is a wonderful person that loves and cares about others.
Thank you, Sarah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
