In the beginning, the patient had a complicated ICU stay, this patient was on the vent for 25 days and was eventually trached and sent over to E7. Sarah became very close with this patient and his fiancé. Due to his long admission, this patient was adamant that he needed to leave and get some fresh air. On this specific day, Sarah texted his fiancé and asked her to bring him his sunglasses so that way they could spend some time outside. Sarah got this patient into the wheelchair and took him and his fiancé outside to the garden, where they were able to spend 30 minutes outside. Sarah went above and beyond to make this patient happy while attempting to figure out his discharge plan. Not only did Sarah go above and beyond for this patient, but she goes above and beyond for all of her patients.
