Sarah Hemker 2, RN

If I could nominate the whole 1 South staff for the excellent care of my grandpa during our journey in hospice I would. End-of-life care takes a big heart and the whole 1 South staff was compassionate, caring, and considerate. A HUGE shout out though to Sarah Hemker for her tireless advocacy, and determination, and for going above and beyond for my family. Her efforts did not go unnoticed and it is something my family, especially my grandma will never forget. She was a bright light in this difficult time for my family and we will be forever grateful. It is not easy to stay so compassionate in the healthcare field and Sarah has shown her compassion through and through with the care we received. Sarah is every attribute you could ever want in a nurse and is a great asset to not only this hospital but the entire community. Her hard work did not go unnoticed.
