My Stepfather was unfortunately placed into hospice care. Our family was devastated and just flat-out scared. We didn’t know what to expect, what questions to ask, and simply just how to process the whole thing. During his stay, we met several staff members, but one nurse stood above the rest and that was Sarah H. She spent more time with me and my family, without question, than anyone else did. She answered all of our questions, listened to us, and gave us the smiles that we were all so desperately looking for. The simple fact that she took so much time with us as if she was part of our family gave us so much comfort and ease as we entered each day of the unknown. We only had her for one weekend, but the limited interactions we had with her will leave a lasting impression on my family as we went through one of the worst times of our lives, losing my stepfather. We cannot thank Sarah enough for all that she has done for us, despite her possibly not really knowing the impact that she left. We truly wish her the absolute best in the future and hope that she knows how truly appreciated she is.
