Sarah's compassion and dedication to her profession is unwavering.
My recovery from surgery for an aortic valve replacement and repair to an aneurysm was not going well. Sarah walked into my room, and I knew I was in good hands. Her take-charge attitude combined with care and concern immediately struck me. She went beyond her duties as my nurse to rebuild my spirit and strength. There was talk of returning me to ICU, but she was determined I would get better on the 6th floor. With a quick smile, she had me walking, which helps with breathing and to get stronger. She was forever sticking her head in to see if I was doing well or needed anything. Her nursing skills are unquestionable. However, it is her care and concern for her patient which makes her an exceptional nurse and outstanding individual who should be recognized for the tremendous asset to this hospital that she is. Her compassion and dedication to her profession is unwavering. I am grateful I was lucky enough to have Sarah as my nurse to aid in my recovery. Thank you for your consideration.

We appreciate all the love and extended care we received during this comfort care/non-normal situation you and our family have gone through. We are blessed that we all have been able to stay here as a family together. You went above and beyond your everyday duties to comfort our loved one and family during this difficult time. We could not have gotten any better care anywhere. Also, thank you for allowing G’s best friend and fur buddy up to say farewell. Thank you from all of us.

Before we even had Sarah as a nurse, as I walked in the halls of 18W Cardiac, I knew this woman had total control and that confidence in handling every situation that could arise in my husband’s care. I got to see her in action the day she became my husband’s nurse. Great bedside manner and knowledge. She advocated for us and answered every question. The nurses on that ward are awesome, but Sarah is a step above.
