I had my daughter at 25 weeks and 6 days. At birth, she weighed 1 pound 10 ounces. The first few days I constantly had my husband or another family member with me, but the first day I was alone with her in the NICU it all became real to me and I had all emotions come at me at once and I just started bawling. Sarah walked in somewhere during all of this and she didn't say a word. She wrapped her arms around me and allowed me to cry. I needed that so much at that moment, and I will never forget the amount of relief that it brought me. There are so many other times that Sarah went above and beyond for me. She is by far the most amazing nurse I've ever met. We have now been transferred to Children's Hospital, but Sarah will always have a place in my heart because of everything she did for me and my baby during our stay at UAMS.
