Early on Monday, my dad coded on the 4th floor and was moved to ICU. Despite best efforts, he passed away that evening. Throughout the day as my brothers and I kept vigil with Mom, it was clear that Sarah was working very hard for my dad. Always willing to answer our questions, Sarah demonstrated great poise, grace, and professionalism. I imagine her role as an ICU nurse requires her to meet people on the worst days of their lives. Although the outcome wasn't what we had hoped for, I am grateful that Dad was under Sarah's care. She truly is an extraordinary nurse.
