There are nurses who do their jobs well, and then there are nurses like Sarah, who go above and beyond, turning a hospital stay into something unexpectedly warm, safe, and even filled with laughter. From the moment she walked into my room, her energy was like a light, instantly lifting my spirits during a time when I needed it most. Sarah made me feel truly seen, heard, and cared for in a way that went beyond just medical attention. She listened with such detail and patience, never brushing off even the smallest concern. Every time I voiced a worry, she met it with kindness and reassurance, making sure I never felt alone in my experience. For all these reasons and more, I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the DAISY Award than Sarah. She is not just an incredible nurse—she is a healer, a comforter, and a shining light in the lives of those lucky enough to be in her care.
