Sarah Kettle, RN, BSN

I was admitted to South County Hospital recently with kidney stones. As you all know, this is typically an intense experience. When I finally made it to a room, Sarah was the first person to meet and greet me. She immediately put me at ease, and I knew I would be well taken care of. All of the attributes that you show here on this form clearly describe Sarah – All of the Time. She consistently shows great listening skills and a heart and skills of compassion and caring. She was a person as well as a nurse – meaning she listened intently and saw both my physical and emotional needs during my stay.

Being that doors are typically open, I also noticed Sarah dealing with a patient traveling the halls with what seemed to be clear signs of dementia. Sarah was amazingly effective in dealing with this person who was often uncooperative. I feel that Sarah is most deserving of recognition of the true patient-centered, kind, compassionate care that she gives. Thank you so much for meeting my needs and making me feel safe and well cared for.
