Sarah was a nurse I shadowed when I was in nursing clinicals at Viera Hospital in 2014. I had her my first day and she is a natural educator, expertly guiding her students, orienting them gradually yet efficiently. Later on, she was my preceptor for my last term in nursing school and then my official nurse preceptor as a nurse graduate. She is adept at instruction, capable of managing a full team on a busy Med/Surg Unit, while staying calm and instructing her students - a difficult task! As a nurse who works side by side with her now, I fully realize Sarah's assets to her team and floor. She is always smiling, laughing, and spreading her positive attitude. She positively contributes to the work environment, continually engages her patients, provides competent care, all while teaching not only her students but those of us on the floor who continually seek her knowledge and expertise. Sarah is a wonderful resource for Viera Hospital.
