Sarah McAlister, BSN, RN

Sarah worked two consecutive night shifts with our son post-op. She consistently looked at the patient's situation with a fresh perspective, always experimenting with different blends of treatments and doses, Sarah would not give up as we struggled to manage his pain. Sarah seems to possess a bottomless "bag of tricks", obviously collected from her nursing experience. Throughout both difficult nights, her empathetic posture never wavered. Not a trace of frustration could be seen on her face or in her voice, despite the many setbacks. Sarah's professionalism was matched by her genuine warmth and optimism. She collaborated with many colleagues, only further exemplifying her devotion and selflessness. Sarah is an extraordinary healthcare professional.
