July 2024 Honoree
Sarah Morris 2024, RN
I was diagnosed with a melanoma in my arm. It was a dreadful shock to me when the consultant informed me of it. Sarah was in the room at the time, and after I had finished with the consultant, Sarah sat with me and went over everything again. She provided me with information, and I had to make a decision on treatment. She explained my options and gave me a few days to see what my decision was.
Thankfully, since my treatment, there has been no other cause for concern. Each time I have seen Sarah, she is professional and friendly. Despite a busy workload, she never makes me feel I have to rush. She listens to any concerns and never makes me feel like I am fussing over nothing. At the time when I was first diagnosed, Sarah was there to help me navigate the process. Without her support at the time and ongoing care at my check-ups things would be far more traumatic.
So, thank you, Sarah, and the entire team; you are an asset to the profession.
P.S. Whenever I have needed to speak to her, she is so super quick to respond. Thank you.
