At 6 months pregnant a regular checkup at the doctor's office suddenly turned into my hospital admission. A situation I certainly was not ready or prepared for. As my sister and I walked to the Antepartum department, I was nervous, anxious, worried, and uncertain of what was going to happen to me. That admitting nurse was Sarah O'Brien. From the moment I met her, she was so kind and reassuring. Since I had never been a patient at this hospital before, everything was new and overwhelming. Sarah took the time to explain each and everything that she did, from the IV she administered to the meds she gave me. Sarah continued to do everything she possibly could (right up until the day she discharged me) to ensure my comfort. I could not have asked for a better nurse!
