Today Sarah floated into the CCU overflow. She had a patient who was dying and alone. While he was passing Sarah sat in the room with him and held his hand while she charted. As she held his hand, she noticed that he had a tiny Bible under his pillow. When her patient passed, she read some scriptures from the Bible to her patient. As she read the scriptures to her patient, her eyes began to stream with tears.
Sarah portrays all aspects of nursing, including the spiritual needs of her patients.
This makes me proud to work with such a caring, sensitive person who truly cares about her patients.
