Sarah was recognized by a new nurse whom she oriented. This nurse stated that being a new nurse in any setting is very scary and overwhelming, but she was lucky enough to have Sarah by her side as her preceptor. Each shift Sarah gave her orientee the opportunity to watch how she interacted with her patients and colleagues. She said, "If I was feeling frustrated and discouraged after a tough day, Sarah was there to encourage me that tomorrow is a new day and things get easier. Having a mentor who could teach without getting frustrated, make corrections without making you feel like you are inexperienced and is always positive and uplifting during difficult times makes all the difference during orientation." Sarah gives selflessly to the nursing profession and to Genesis. Thank you, Sarah!
