Sarah Quirk 2026, RN

I recently had three hospital stays, and on the second one, I was put on a medication, and all seemed to be fine. After I was released home, I did outpatient labs, but my whole body hurt. Late in the afternoon, Sarah saw my labs and noticed my sodium level had dropped to 119. She tried to call me, but I couldn’t wake up to answer the phone. Sarah called my emergency contact, my dad, and asked him to get ahold of me right away.

Sarah tried calling me again, and I answered this time, but I was really out of it, slurring my words. She told me about what she saw in my labs, and I knew it was SIADH because I’ve had it before. Thankfully, Sarah called an ambulance for me before I took my next two med doses. I believe if I’d have taken those doses, I would have passed away in my sleep. Nobody was with me, and no one would have found me.

Another issue I had was that I’d been taking prescribed meds for 10 days, then went to an appointment with my PCP. After the appointment, I went home and compared the after-visit summary with the labels on my medication bottles. I discovered they were labeled with a dosage that was too low. I immediately contacted Sarah with my concerns. She quickly addressed the issue, and my medication was updated to the correct dosage. I would have been in serious medical trouble had this error not been found, and Sarah quickly fixed it.

Sarah’s number one priority was me and making sure I was okay, even after hours. She worked so hard to help fix these issues quickly and twice saved my life. I appreciate her so much! She truly cares above and beyond for her patients.
