She was listening and compassionate about my situation and calming me down with her comforting words. When I went out for discharge, my mood changed, and the way I see my situation was different from being stressed.
I was admitted to the hospital as I was pregnant for my 2nd month. Pregnancy was very tough on me and since I got pregnant I am always very tired. I got even more tired when I was admitted since my parents are living in another place away from me. My husband is also stressed in his work and he does not talk to me a lot. This factors adds to me getting angry and having a lot of very stressful situations. During one of my admissions, there was a time I was crying, then this nurse came and visited me. She saw me crying at that very moment, then she placed her hand over my head and sat next to me and she started reading for me the Quran. She asked if I can talk about what made me upset and I started to tell her about my family, that I feel lonely, and that pregnancy is causing more stress. It was the 1st time I encountered her but it felt that she knew me not just my name. She was listening and compassionate about my situation and calming me down with her comforting words. When I went out for discharge, my mood changed, and the way I see my situation was different from being stressed.

I was readmitted and was in a hurry to get treatment. I was very tough with the nurses and the doctors but when this nurse came she smiled and tells me, "Calm down, you're making everything bigger than what it is already." So I shouted to her face and told her, "The pain that I have is not in you. You are a very cold and calm person, smiling all the time." She did not reply to my anger but continued to smile then she reply calmly, " I smile so that I can absorb your anger and I agree with you that you are in pain since you are pregnant and you are tired but being angry won't help you. Let us take care of you". I calmed down and tried to cooperate with the management and treatment given to me.

This nurse is like a sister and a mother. She is always smiling. I get angry at her she smiles, and when I cry she smiles, and when she comes to my room she is always smiling. I have never seen a nurse like this with all this care and compassion even though she does not know me and she has no connection with me, just another patient. She works with all dedication and gives more than what the patient needs. She is a role model to all nurses. When she takes blood samples for my laboratories, her hand is very careful. She withdraws blood very easily in a professional way. I am thanking Almoosa for this nurse, without her I cannot pass these difficult days and all of this loneliness. I wish her all the respect and all the success in her career life. Wish her all the best and Im sure whatever she is planting with the patient, she will harvest them with all the prayers and love. Thank you.
