I am a MOD veteran classified as 100% disabled for psychiatric/psychological injury. This is extremely rare. The corresponding physical award is paraplegia. I served as an officer with Airborne, Airmobile, and special forces. To achieve recognition has taken multiple legal determinations. I have experienced escape and evasion, combat survival and resistance to interrogation. I am a former head Alter Boy born in Belfast. I have been admitted to multiple hospitals in England and Northern Ireland. This is my first time in Dublin, reporting immediately to A&E (Mater Hospital). I said to Sarah, "you are an angel." She was very humble. In scores of admissions I have not met a nurse more compassionate, caring, kind, whilst professional and guiding me through what is required of me as a concordant patient. She is simply the best nurse I have ever met. Sarah is highly motivated by care and grace.
