Sarah was nominated by one of her peers for consistently putting the needs of her patients first. She is always smiling and presenting herself in a positive manner with patients, families, and peers. Sarah always tries to brighten her patient's day. One patient encounter stood out to her peer as Sarah was caring for a patient near the end of life and the patient was alone, anxious, and having trouble breathing. Sarah stayed with her patient, held her hand, and reassured her until family arrived. She never left her side.
